These terms apply to all bookings of rooms (chambres d’hôtes) and optional services at Relais Douet, operated by [LEGAL NAME] (see Legal notice). By confirming a booking, the guest accepts these terms.
Bookings can be made through our online booking system, by e-mail, by phone or through partner platforms. A booking is final once the guest has received a written confirmation and, where required, the deposit has been paid. Bookings made through a third-party platform (e.g. Booking.com) are also subject to that platform’s terms.
Prices are shown in euros, including VAT where applicable, per room and per night. Unless otherwise stated they include breakfast, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and parking. Optional experiences and extras are charged separately at the price confirmed before the service.
The tourist tax is not included in the room price. It is set by the local authority, charged per adult (18 and over) per night, collected on behalf of the municipality and paid on site or with the balance. Current rate: [€X per adult per night].
Accepted payment methods: [bank card, bank transfer, cash (within legal limits), …]. A deposit (arrhes) of [X]% of the stay may be requested on booking; the balance is payable [on arrival / on departure / X days before arrival]. In accordance with French law, cash payments are limited to €1,000 for residents.
In accordance with Article L221-28 (12°) of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services provided on a specific date or period. Cancellations are governed by our Cancellation Policy.
See the Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms and is shown before every booking. Any request to modify dates is subject to availability. In case of cancellation by the host (except force majeure), the guest is refunded in full.
Check-in from 16:00 to 22:00; check-out by 11:00. There is no reception desk: please tell us your expected arrival time at least 24 hours in advance. A late arrival not announced may not be accommodated. For guests of foreign nationality, French law requires us to complete an individual police form (fiche de police) on arrival.
Failure to respect these rules may lead to the termination of the stay without refund.
The host is not liable for loss or theft of personal belongings left in rooms or vehicles, nor for disruption due to force majeure. Guests are responsible for any damage they cause. Experiences run by third parties (excursions, transfers, tastings) are subject to their providers’ conditions.
Any complaint should be sent in writing to contact@relaisdouet.com or by post to the registered office, preferably within 30 days after the stay. We will reply within 30 days.
In accordance with Articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, if a dispute is not resolved after a written complaint, the guest may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator: [MÉDIATEUR DE LA CONSOMMATION – name, address, website]. These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable solution, the competent French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the consumer’s mandatory rights.
